About us

One team, accountable from the first drawing to the last panel.

We engineer, inspect and ship light-gauge steel homes to buyers in the United States and Canada. We hold your contract, we issue the drawings your building is made from, and we sign off every load before it sails.

The problem with buying a steel home from China

The manufacturing is rarely the problem. The problem is the distance between the person who pays and the person who builds — and the fact that everyone in between is accountable to somebody you cannot reach.

A buyer in Colorado finds a supplier on a trading platform, receives a beautiful quotation with a photograph of a house that turns out to belong to somebody else, sends a 30% deposit, and then waits. Six weeks later the drawings have changed, the specification has quietly lost a layer of insulation, and the container that arrives contains panels numbered in an order that matches nothing on site. Nobody set out to cheat anybody. The buyer simply had no one in the room.

That gap — between the price you are quoted and the building that arrives — is the only thing we sell against.

What we actually do

Four jobs, and we are accountable for all of them.

01 · Engineering liaison

We take your drawings — or your requirements, if you do not have drawings — and turn them into a light-gauge steel panel system with the load values of your site built in. Nothing is released to production until the drawings match what you thought you were buying.

02 · Production control and audit

Not every production line can roll-form a panel to tolerance, galvanise to the coating class in the specification, or hold a delivery date. We set the tolerances in the contract, audit against them during production, and do not start a project on a line our engineers have not run before.

03 · Inspection

Four fixed inspection points on every order: incoming material certificates, frame welding, panel and insulation assembly, and pre-shipment loading. You receive photographs and a report at each one, before the next payment is due.

04 · Logistics and documentation

Packing, lashing, loading plans, bills of lading, certificates of origin, customs paperwork and the delivery leg to your site. Container maths — weight against volume — is done before the order is placed, not after.

How we are paid

Our fee is on your contract, in the open.

Our fee is quoted to you as a line item on your contract. We take no commission and no rebate from anyone else in the chain. That is deliberate.

If the party doing the work paid us, then the party cutting a corner would be paying the person supposed to catch it. This is the single structural reason our inspection reports are worth reading — not because we are unusually honest people, but because our interests line up with yours.

It also means we will sometimes tell you that the cheapest option is the right one to take, and sometimes that the drawings you arrived with will not pass review where you are building.

What we are not: we are not a construction contractor, and we are not a US company. We do not carry out foundation, erection or local permit work — that is done by local trades you appoint, or by people we help you find. Our engineering office is in China, and every building we supply originates in China, which is stated on all commercial and customs documents.
What we will not do: we will not tell you a building has been approved in a jurisdiction where it has not been reviewed. We will not quote a price we cannot hold. And we will not take a project we do not think we can deliver well — a 4,000 sq ft home on a steep coastal lot is a different job from a 720 sq ft ADU, and we will say so.

Who we work with

  • Private landowners building a primary home, a holiday house or an ADU, usually on a lot they already own.
  • Small developers putting two to twenty units on a site, where repeatable panels and a predictable schedule matter more than a bespoke design.
  • Resorts, farms and contractors needing staff housing, site offices or accommodation that can be erected quickly and moved later.
  • Builders and importers who already know the trade and want a China-side partner who inspects, documents and ships properly.

If you are earlier than this — still deciding whether a steel home makes sense on your land — send us the question anyway. We would rather answer it honestly and hear from you in a year than sell you a container you did not need.
